U.S. Senator Jerry Moran spoke on the Senate Floor regarding the crisis at the southern border. He says the historic failure at our southern border is not an accident and migrants making their way to the United States, often through the assistance of organized criminal organizations, know our laws and the current lack of enforcement of those laws. He says that Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas wants to wait on comprehensive reform, but, that’s an excuse:
He adds that Mayorkas’ inaction on the border and his leniency towards enforcing the law has resulted in the crisis today. Moran says the number one priority of the Federal Government is to protect our National Security, and the Biden Administration has failed to protect our southern border.
